Luthuli Private Game Reserve is unquestionably awesome. The reserve is situated
on 3,810ha within the 22,000ha Zululand Rhino Reserve, which is the second site
identified by the WWF / Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife Black Rhino Range Expansion
Project. Game stock will be brought up to Big 5 Status reserve standards, with
22 black rhino released in the reserve to date.
Luthuli will comprise of
30 lodges of approximately 350sqm, each spread between three camps. The lodges
are designed to engage fully with the enviroment, with natural materials such as
timber and stone being used throughout. High quality, durable, natural materials
ensure an ease of maintenance and longevity of the buildings.
All rooms
open out onto extensive covered decks, doubling the space of the home on fine
days and enclosing a secure comfortable core during harsh conditions. The living
areas blend seamlessly from inside to outside, and are designed to enhance the
experience of being in the bush, whilst providing extreme comfort - the home
becomes a private hide from which to view game drinking from the water hole or
taking refuge from the mid-day heat under a tree next to the deck.
